The Brooklyn Museum was buzzing with excitement on Tuesday night as art world luminaries and celebrities gathered for the annual Brooklyn Artists Ball. The event honored Titus Kaphar, an American painter whose work is currently featured in the museum’s exhibition, “Giants: Art From the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.”

Stars like Naomi Watts and Rosamund Pike mingled with art world figures like Marina Abramovic and Kehinde Wiley, while enjoying a lavish dinner and a performance by British rapper Little Simz. The event raised a record-breaking $3 million and drew over 600 attendees.

After dinner, guests headed downstairs for an after-party where they danced to a DJ set from Swizz Beatz, who paid tribute to the late rapper DMX. The partygoers kept the energy high until late in the evening, celebrating art and creativity in style.

Meanwhile, in Manhattan’s Financial District, GQ Magazine hosted its second annual Global Creativity Awards, bringing together designers, artists, and media figures to celebrate cultural impact. Honorees included Lewis Hamilton, Hunter Schafer, and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.

The event featured a cocktail hour with stunning views of the East River, where guests like Asake and Michaela Coel mingled. During dinner, hosted by J.B. Smoove and GQ’s global editorial director Will Welch, presenters like Ken Burns and Mickalene Thomas introduced each honoree.

As the after-party kicked off, guests like Erykah Badu and George Lucas enjoyed the festivities before quietly slipping away. The night was a celebration of creativity and collaboration, bringing together diverse talents from across the worlds of art, fashion, and music.
