Giovanni Botta and Amanda Pinegar had a vision when they purchased their townhouse in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn – a pink kitchen. As they embarked on their renovation journey, they were determined to create a space that reflected their vibrant personalities and love for bold colors.
The couple, along with their twin daughters, found themselves in need of more space during the pandemic and decided to invest in a larger home. With nearly 2,100 square feet to work with, they enlisted the help of architect Luki Anderson to bring their colorful dreams to life.
Anderson, known for her love of color, embraced the challenge and transformed the townhouse into a bright and airy single-family home. The kitchen featured ceramic tiles by Nathalie Du Pasquier for Mutina, creating a unique and playful runway effect from the entrance to the back of the house.
Despite facing challenges such as rising costs and termite damage, Botta and Pinegar remained committed to their vision. They even consulted with Farrow & Ball’s color curator, Joa Studholme, to perfect the color scheme throughout the home.
In the end, the renovation cost $538,000, exceeding their initial budget but delivering a stunning result that exceeded their expectations. The couple’s dedication to their colorful vision paid off, and they are thrilled with the transformation of their new home.
