Love found a way for Colton Dakota Elliott and Allie Londyn Hill, despite a rocky start in their teenage years. The couple’s journey from rejection to romance culminated in a beautiful self-uniting ceremony in Breckenridge, Colo.

It all began with a failed attempt at dating in middle school, followed by years of friendship on social media. But when the pandemic hit and Bernie Sanders dropped out of the presidential race, a spark reignited between them.

Their connection grew stronger through texts and FaceTime calls, leading to a bold decision by Mr. Elliott to ask Ms. Hill to help him move to San Diego. What started as a road trip turned into a 12-day camping adventure filled with challenges and shared laughter.

As they camped under the stars in Estes Park, Colo., they both realized they were falling in love. By the time they reached San Francisco, they were officially a couple.

Their relationship blossomed further as they moved in together in Memphis, adopted two cats, and planned a surprise marriage proposal in Estes Park. The couple celebrated their engagement with friends and family in Memphis and are now looking forward to a wedding and a move to Oahu, Hawaii.

Their self-uniting ceremony in Breckenridge was a testament to their love and commitment to each other. With only themselves legally required to bind their union, the couple created a ceremony that was personal, meaningful, and filled with love.

Colton and Allie’s love story is a reminder that sometimes, the best relationships come from unexpected beginnings and that love truly knows no bounds.
