Two friends made a man’s day after taking him on a helicopter ride as a “thank you” for his hard work. Paige Goldstein and Chantel Wright, two young women currently traveling the world while working remotely, decided to surprise their apartment’s security guard, Kasa, with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Kasa, who had never been on a helicopter or a plane before, mentioned to the girls during a conversation that he had never experienced such a ride. So, on his next day off, Goldstein and Wright invited him for a surprise and took him on a helicopter ride over his hometown of Cape Town, South Africa.

The trio enjoyed the scenic views of Cape Town from the sky, with Kasa even pointing out the apartment building where he works. Goldstein shared that Kasa was shocked and thrilled by the experience, saying he wanted to tell his future grandkids about it.

After the helicopter ride, the friends went for celebratory drinks, and Kasa expressed that he would remember the day for the rest of his life. Goldstein and Wright, who are part of a podcast called Fill Your Sol, believe in connecting with locals while traveling and building relationships.

The heartwarming gesture of taking Kasa on a helicopter ride shows the impact of small acts of kindness and the joy that can come from giving back to those who work hard to make travelers feel welcome. Goldstein and Wright’s story serves as a reminder of the power of human connection and the importance of spreading kindness wherever we go.
