A South Carolina woman charged with killing a bride on her wedding night in a DUI crash has been released from jail less than a year later. Jamie Komoroski, 26, posted her $150,000 bail and was released from the Charleston County jail. The incident occurred on April 28, 2023, when Samantha Miller, 34, died and her groom, Aric Hutchinson, 36, was seriously injured after Komoroski allegedly rear-ended their golf cart while driving twice the speed limit. Komoroski, with a blood-alcohol content over three times the legal limit, had been held without bail. The bride’s mother, Lisa Miller, expressed her disappointment with Komoroski’s release, stating, “She didn’t just kill my child, she killed all of us.” Komoroski will be fitted with a SCRAM ankle monitor and is not allowed to drive or leave her home except for medical emergencies or court dates. She faces charges of felony DUI resulting in death and reckless homicide. Hutchinson suffered brain bleeding, broken bones, and facial fractures in the crash.
