Things are heating up at Augusta National Golf Course as 2023 U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark takes a not-so-subtle jab at LIV Golf during the Masters tournament. Clark, who finished the first round eight shots behind leader Bryson DeChambeau, made a bold statement about the rival Saudi-backed tour’s format.

“We’ve got 54 holes. In LIV Golf, they only play 54,” Clark said, highlighting the differences between the two tours. Despite his slow start at the Masters, Clark remains confident in his abilities, drawing on his past major win and recent successes on the course.

Clark’s debut at the Masters may not have gone as planned, but he is determined to make a comeback in the remaining rounds. With a strong track record leading up to the tournament, including wins at the Wells Fargo Championship and Pebble Beach, Clark is poised to make a statement at Augusta.

Although Clark shot a 73 in the first round, he remains optimistic about his performance, citing areas for improvement on the course. As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on Clark as he looks to climb the leaderboard and challenge DeChambeau for the top spot.
