Iranian General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who was reportedly killed by an Israeli airstrike on April 1, has been revealed to have played a key role in the mass murder of 1,200 people, including over 30 Americans, on October 7. This shocking revelation was made by an organization affiliated with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The U.S.-based Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) translated the announcement made by Iran’s Coalition Council of Islamic Revolution Forces, which recognized Zahedi’s role in the atrocities. Zahedi, the commander of the IRGC’s elite Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, was killed in an airstrike in Damascus along with six other men.

The announcement mourned Zahedi’s death and praised his strategic role in strengthening the resistance front and planning the Al-Aqsa Flood, which resulted in mass rapes, deaths, and hostage-taking. The U.S. State Department and Israel both condemned Zahedi’s actions and reiterated their stance on the IRGC as a terrorist organization.

The revelation of Zahedi’s involvement in the October 7 massacre has raised tensions in the region, with Iran threatening military strikes against Israel. The MEMRI report contradicts Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s denial of Iran’s role in the attack.

Israel has also obtained evidence of Iran’s financial support to Hamas, further escalating the situation. The announcement of Zahedi’s death warned of a pending attack against Israel, as the Middle East teeters on the brink of a possible wide-ranging war.

The U.S. State Department has long classified Iran as the world’s worst state-sponsor of terrorism, and calls for action against the IRGC have been renewed in light of these revelations. The situation remains tense as Iran continues its saber-rattling and antisemitic demonstrations calling for the seizure of Jerusalem and the elimination of Israel.
