The High Court of Podgorica has once again approved the extradition of Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs. Kwon’s legal team now has the opportunity to appeal the judgment within three days.

This decision comes after the Montenegrin court had previously confirmed Kwon’s extradition to South Korea, only to have the Supreme Court invalidate the verdict, restarting the extradition process from the beginning.

The destination for Kwon’s extradition is still undetermined, with requests pending from both South Korea and the United States. Montenegro’s Minister of Justice, Andrej Milovic, will ultimately make the decision, with indications pointing towards a likely extradition to the US due to its status as a key foreign policy partner of Montenegro.

In the US, Kwon has recently been declared liable on five counts of fraud after a nine-day trial, which he could not attend. As the final decision on his extradition approaches, the proceedings highlight the complexities of international diplomacy and legal collaboration. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
