T Magazine Celebrates 20th Anniversary at Salone del Mobile Design Fair in Milan
On Monday evening, T Magazine hosted its annual party to kick off the Salone del Mobile design fair in Milan at the stunning Villa Necchi Campiglio. This year’s event was extra special as it marked the magazine’s 20th anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion, T’s editor in chief, Hanya Yanagihara, enlisted the help of Parisian artist Ramdane Touhami to oversee the party’s design.
Touhami’s concept involved incorporating the magazine’s iconic logo into various elements of the party, from ice cubes to installations on the villa’s grounds. Guests were greeted with a striking display of reflective T-shaped letters at the entrance and throughout the property, creating a visually stunning experience.
The evening was filled with cocktails and innovative Thai-Italian snacks prepared by Parisian chef Rose Chalalai Singh. Attendees, including notable designers and curators, enjoyed mingling by the pool and exploring the private rooms of Villa Necchi, where docents pointed out famous artworks by Giorgio de Chirico and Picasso.
As the sun set, the party transformed into a lively dance floor with pink and blue spotlights illuminating the mirrored T-shaped decorations. Guests danced to the tunes of D.J. Nari Fshr and indulged in delicious desserts like multicolor madeleines and white chocolate lollipops.
As the night came to a close, guests were gifted with a tote bag containing a special notebook, T’s latest design issue, and a unique souvenir – pasta shaped like the letter T. Overall, the event was a memorable celebration of T Magazine’s 20 years of influence in the design world.
