Title: Pixelmon’s Mon Protocol Pre-Sale Sells Out in Eight Minutes, Raises $7.1 Million

In a groundbreaking move for the decentralized web3 gaming industry, Pixelmon, the popular gaming IP, successfully concluded its community pre-sale of the Mon Protocol fractionalized IP ecosystem. The pre-sale, which saw overwhelming support, reached 100% of its required allocation in just eight minutes, showcasing the strong community backing behind the project.

The pre-sale, which took place on January 28, 2024, offered a total allocation of 62,092,000 MON tokens, equivalent to 6.2% of the total supply of 1 billion MON tokens. The value of the allocated MON tokens was an impressive US$7.1 million at the time of the sale, highlighting the demand for the project among investors.

Pixelmon implemented various mechanics during the pre-sale to reward long-time community members, including owners of Pixelmon and Golden Trainer NFTs. These members were guaranteed an opportunity to purchase MON tokens in lots, with the rarity of their NFTs determining the number of token lots they could acquire. Additionally, a waitlist was created for other community members to participate in a raffle for token lots, further engaging the community in the pre-sale process.

Giulio Xiloyannis, CEO of Pixelmon and co-founder of LiquidX Studio, expressed his satisfaction with the pre-sale mechanics, stating, “We wanted to offer a pre-sale mechanic that would allow our community to enjoy the best terms in the launch of our partner project Mon Protocol. The overwhelming response to our pre-sale shows the strength and commitment of our community and will hopefully serve as an inspiration to other projects.”

The pre-sale offered MON tokens at a price of 0.096 ETH per lot, with each token valued at US$0.115 by the end of the pre-sale. A total of 11,726 unique wallets participated in the pre-sale, committing 5,594.304 ETH valued at US$3,414.70 per ETH, totaling US$19,102,869.87.

Following the pre-sale, the individual results for the raffle were announced, and users were able to claim their allocation and refunds. The token generation event (TGE) will see 20% of the pre-sale tokens released initially, followed by a vesting period for the remaining 80% over 24 months. Additionally, players who participated in the Mon Protocol Quests will receive an allocation of MON tokens as rewards.

Pixelmon, developed by LiquidX Studio, is a decentralized web3 gaming IP set in the mythical world of Nova Thera, where players lead their team of Pixelmon to victory. The game incentivizes players with NFTs that offer fractional IP benefits, giving holders ownership rights over a portion of an item’s or character’s IP.

With the success of the Mon Protocol pre-sale, Pixelmon continues to push the boundaries of decentralized gaming and community engagement in the web3 space.
