Unstoppable Domains and Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently concluded one of the largest global hackathons in history, with a record-breaking 1,162 participants from all corners of the globe. The virtual event, hosted on Devpost.com, brought together developers to explore the intersection of AI and Web3 technology, leveraging AWS’s cloud computing capabilities and Unstoppable Domains’ blockchain-based digital identity solutions.
The hackathon saw an impressive 55 project submissions, with participants utilizing AWS’s artificial intelligence stack, the UD Resolution API, and the UD Partner API to enhance the utility of Web3 domains and AWS cloud services. A total prize pool of $187,000 was awarded across three key categories: AI-Driven Tooling, Resolution & User Experience, and Digital Identity.
Among the standout projects were AdToken, a platform revolutionizing blockchain advertising with transparent, gas-free payments, and DomainGPT, a Telegram bot streamlining domain-related tasks. Winners were selected by a panel of AI and Web3 specialists from AWS and Unstoppable Domains, including industry experts like Brad Feinstein and Jean Farmer.
Han Zhou, CEO of NameMaxi and winner of the Digital Identity category, expressed his excitement about the hackathon, stating, “Participating in this hackathon has been an incredible experience. Not only did it allow us to explore the two areas we are most passionate about – AI and blockchain – but it also exposed the team to an amazing community of developers who are equally passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.”
The success of the hackathon highlights the growing interest in AI and Web3 technology, as developers continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what is achievable in the digital landscape.
