Republican vice presidential candidate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, made bold accusations against Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and the current Democratic administration during a campaign event near the site of a major electric vehicle battery factory project.

Speaking in Big Rapids, Michigan, Vance claimed that Harris and the administration are aiding China in destroying and replacing the American auto industry from within. He specifically pointed to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which he said made Chinese companies like Gotion Inc. eligible for millions of taxpayer dollars.

Gotion Inc., a Chinese company registered as a foreign principal, is planning to build a $2.4 billion electric vehicle battery plant near the event location. Vance highlighted concerns about the national security implications of allowing Chinese companies to establish factories on American soil and receive funding from taxpayers.

The senator also criticized Harris for her role in sending inflation soaring and accused her of wanting to give hundreds of millions of dollars to companies that undercut American autoworkers. He contrasted this with former President Donald Trump’s approach of supporting American workers and bringing back manufacturing jobs.

Vance also addressed the controversy surrounding a scheduled debate between Trump and Harris, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in the political process. He expressed concerns about potential rule changes and Harris’ avoidance of media scrutiny throughout the campaign.

Additionally, Vance highlighted a letter from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, revealing pressure from the Biden-Harris administration to censor content related to COVID-19. He described this revelation as a bombshell, underscoring the impact of censorship on American elections.

The event provided a platform for Vance to outline his vision for American industry and national security, positioning himself as a champion of American workers and a critic of policies that he believes undermine the country’s economic interests.
