The city of Beirut was rocked by giant explosions near the airport, caused by Israeli bombings targeting Hezbollah. Plumes of smoke filled the sky as the airstrikes continued, with Lebanon’s public health ministry reporting 37 people killed and 151 wounded in the last 24 hours.

In a further escalation, the Lebanese army confirmed two soldiers killed in the south as Israeli forces pressed on with their invasion against Hezbollah, ordering the evacuation of 20 towns and villages. The conflict intensified as Israeli troops clashed with Hezbollah fighters near the border.

The situation in Beirut was described as “horrific” by aid workers, with a significant number of displaced people, including children, seeking shelter in the city. The Israeli Air Force continued its strikes on Hezbollah targets, resulting in casualties on both sides.

As the violence escalated, Dean Sweetland, a resident living near the border with Lebanon, expressed concern over the ongoing conflict and the threat posed by Hezbollah. With tensions high and casualties mounting, the region remains on edge as the conflict shows no signs of abating.
