In the disturbing footage, a mask-wearing thief was captured speaking directly into a Ring surveillance camera, saying, “I love you, daddy.” This unsettling message has left residents feeling uneasy and violated.
The footage also shows four thieves ransacking an apartment building’s mail slots, with residents reporting that their Amazon packages have mysteriously disappeared from their homes. Despite the frustration, residents like Adams Morgan have found some solace in the fact that Amazon is quick to reimburse or send replacement packages.
Postal inspectors are now investigating the surveillance video and are offering a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the thieves. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
