Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro struggled to answer a key question during a recent appearance on “Meet the Press” on NBC. When asked to list one policy difference between President Biden and Vice President Harris, Shapiro was unable to provide a clear answer.

Host Kristen Welker pointed out that more voters are concerned about Harris continuing Biden’s approach than Trump continuing his own approach. She asked Shapiro if Harris has done enough to distance herself from Biden, to which Shapiro responded by emphasizing the race between Harris and Trump rather than Harris and Biden.

Despite repeated questioning from Welker, Shapiro failed to name a specific policy difference between Harris and Biden. Instead, he focused on the contrasts between Harris and Trump, highlighting her plans to cut taxes for small businesses and expand child care tax credits.

The exchange was later discussed by guest Brenden Buck, a former adviser to House speakers Paul Ryan and John Boehner, who noted the campaign’s inability to articulate how a Harris administration would differ from a Biden one.

Shapiro, however, remains committed to campaigning for Harris, stating that Pennsylvania is accustomed to close elections and acknowledging the importance of every vote in the upcoming election.

As the race heats up, the question of how a potential Harris administration would differ from Biden’s remains unanswered, leaving voters to speculate on the future direction of the Democratic ticket.
