Love knows no bounds for Svetlana Dotsenko and Fabián Alejandro Poliak, whose whirlwind romance took them from a chance encounter at Harvard to a magical proposal under the stars in Poland and a stunning wedding celebration in Buenos Aires.

Their love story began in 2008 at a party at Harvard, where they first met but quickly lost touch. A decade later, fate brought them back together when Ms. Dotsenko hired Mr. Poliak as a tutor for a summer program she was running in Greece. From there, their romance blossomed as they traveled to Russia, Switzerland, Mexico, Peru, and beyond, maintaining a long-distance relationship that felt surprisingly effortless.

Despite the challenges of distance, their love only grew stronger, culminating in a romantic proposal on a bridge in Poland during the Perseid meteor shower. And in a modern twist, Ms. Dotsenko later proposed to Mr. Poliak on the Skinny Bridge in Amsterdam, sealing their commitment with a meteorite ring.

Their wedding celebration in Buenos Aires was a blend of their cultures, with nods to Mr. Poliak’s Jewish heritage and Ms. Dotsenko’s Russian roots. The event was a true reflection of their love story, filled with music, dance, and joy that lasted until the early hours of the morning.

As they embark on this new chapter of their lives together, Svetlana and Fabián serve as a reminder that love knows no boundaries and that true love will always find its way.
