The man accused of killing four University of Idaho undergrads in a home invasion stabbing, Bryan Kohberger, has offered up an alibi through his attorneys. Kohberger claims he was out driving the night of the killings on Nov. 13, 2022, engaging in outdoor activities like hiking and stargazing.

Kohberger, a former criminology Ph.D. student at Washington State University, is facing four counts of murder and burglary after allegedly stabbing the four students with a KA-BAR knife. Despite his alibi, his DNA was found at the crime scene, raising doubts about his claims.

Defense lawyers plan to present evidence from Kohberger’s phone data showing him in the countryside on the night of the killings. However, experts warn that DNA evidence does not lie, potentially undermining the alibi.

The trial date for Kohberger has not been set yet, but prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. The case continues to unfold as the defense and prosecution present their arguments in court. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
