The National Television Awards at the O2 arena in London saw a star-studded red carpet event with the biggest names in British TV gracing the occasion. Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard took over as hosts of This Morning earlier this year, following the departures of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. The show is up for the daytime award, adding to the excitement of the evening.

Vicky McClure was nominated for the best drama performance award for her role in Trigger Point, while Michelle Keegan, nominated for best drama performance for Fool Me Once, attended with husband Mark Wright. Kate Garraway, with children Billy and Darcey, won the best authored documentary award for Derek’s Story, a touching tribute to her late husband Derek Draper.

Holly Willoughby, who left This Morning 11 months ago, continued to present Dancing on Ice earlier this year. Sam Thompson emerged as the winner of the latest series of I’m A Celebrity, while girlfriend Zara McDermott was part of the last Strictly line-up. Dancer Amy Dowden is making a comeback to Strictly Come Dancing this year after undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

The EastEnders contingent at the ceremony included Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins, known for their roles as Ian and Cindy Beale. The Loose Women panellists were also present, hoping to secure the best daytime prize. Additionally, a group of subpostmasters, along with Olly Murs, were invited following the announcement that ITV drama Mr Bates Vs the Post Office would receive the NTA Impact Award for creating a “huge cultural shift.”

Joey Essex and Jessy Potts, who found love on the latest series of Love Island, were also in attendance. Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan turned heads with her coordinated lipstick and dress ensemble. The event was a celebration of the best in British television, showcasing the talent and diversity of the industry.
