Former Rice Owls wide receiver Luke McCaffrey stole the spotlight at the NFL Scouting Combine, outshining his superstar brother Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers. Luke clocked in a 4.47 40-yard dash, edging out Christian’s 4.48 time before the 2017 draft.

The younger McCaffrey’s versatility on the field was on full display as he transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver during his college career. With impressive stats of 129 catches, 1,715 yards, and 19 touchdowns in just two seasons as a wideout, Luke is poised to make a splash in the upcoming NFL draft.

As the son of former Denver Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and soccer standout Lisa McCaffrey, Luke comes from a family of athletic excellence. With the potential to be a day-three draft selection, all eyes are on Luke McCaffrey as he looks to carve out his own path in the NFL.
