Los Angeles Man Found Guilty of Sending Son to Kill Rapper PnB Rock
In a shocking turn of events, a Los Angeles jury has found 42-year-old Freddie Trone guilty of orchestrating the murder of Philadelphia hip-hop star PnB Rock. The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen, was shot dead in September 2022 while dining at a Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and mother of his four-year-old child.
According to reports, Trone sent his 17-year-old son to the restaurant to rob PnB Rock of his expensive jewelry. The teen, wearing a ski mask, demanded the artist’s belongings and opened fire, ultimately causing the rapper’s death. Trone was accused of driving the getaway car, while a third man, Tremont Jones, was also charged in connection with the crime.
During the trial, prosecutors argued that Trone orchestrated the robbery for financial gain, targeting the rapper’s valuable jewelry. Trone’s defense team, however, claimed he was only an accessory after the fact and denied any involvement in the planning or execution of the crime.
The tragic incident has left PnB Rock’s loved ones and fans devastated. His girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, expressed her grief on social media, revealing that the rapper had saved her life during the attack. Tributes from fellow artists, including Drake and Nicki Minaj, poured in following PnB Rock’s untimely death.
As the case comes to a close, Trone and Jones are set to be sentenced on August 27. District Attorney Gascón emphasized the importance of seeking justice for the victim and sending a clear message to those who threaten the safety of the community.
The music industry has lost a talented artist in PnB Rock, whose legacy will live on through his music and the memories shared by his fans.
