Florida State’s Football Team Off to Disastrous 0-3 Start After Loss to Memphis
Florida State’s football team is off to a rough start this season, with a disappointing 0-3 record after a loss to FBS Memphis on Saturday. The Seminoles, who paid Memphis $1.3 million to appear on their schedule as a buy game, were unable to secure a victory.
Head coach Mike Norvell had to cut his postgame press conference short after a fire alarm went off at the team facility, sparing him from having to explain the details behind the catastrophic loss.
“We all have to do a better job,” Norvell said. “We can’t continue to come into games and see things that are absolutely not a part of who we are show up. So we all have to prepare better… These guys have not stopped working.”
This winless streak comes after Florida State was left out of the College Football Playoffs last year. The team started the season with losses to Georgia Tech and Boston College before falling to Memphis.
The Seminoles will now face three ACC rivals in their upcoming games, including Cal, SMU, and Clemson. With tough matchups ahead, Florida State will need to regroup and find a way to turn their season around.
