WWE stars Gunther and Cody Rhodes made history at the Bash in Berlin on Saturday as they both successfully defended their titles in thrilling matches. Gunther, the World Heavyweight Champion from Vienna, faced off against Randy Orton in a hard-fought battle that saw both men give it their all. Despite Orton’s best efforts to wear down Gunther’s arm, the Austrian powerhouse emerged victorious with a sleeper-hold assault that left Orton unconscious.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes defended his title against Kevin Owens, who hesitated to target Rhodes’ injured knee. After a back-and-forth match, Rhodes sealed the victory with three Cross Rhodes maneuvers, much to Owens’ dismay.
In another standout match of the night, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre engaged in a brutal strap match that ended with Punk claiming victory after delivering three Go to Sleep finishers and reclaiming a stolen bracelet.
The event also featured tag-team matches, with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley defeating Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan in a mixed tag-team match.
With tensions running high and new rivalries emerging, the stage is set for the next WWE premium live event, Bad Blood, scheduled for Oct. 5 in Atlanta. Fans can expect more thrilling matches and intense showdowns as the WWE action continues to heat up.
