Former President Trump and Vice President Harris are in a deadlock tie in the battleground state of Michigan as the nation sits less than one week from Election Day, according to a recent poll.

The poll, conducted by USA Today, found that Trump and Harris are both tied at 47% among likely voters in Michigan. The survey, which included 500 likely voters from Oct. 24 to Oct. 27, has a margin of error of 4.4%.

Interestingly, the poll also revealed that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received roughly 1% of the vote, despite dropping out of the race and endorsing Trump. Efforts to remove Kennedy’s name from the ballots in Michigan have been unsuccessful, with the Michigan Supreme Court ruling against the move this fall.

In a national poll by Reuters, Harris’ lead has shrunk to just one point, with the vice president at 44% compared to Trump’s 43%.

The latest poll indicates a shift from earlier in October when Harris held a two-point lead over Trump. The Reuters poll surveyed 1,150 U.S. adults, including 975 registered voters.

Harris has also seen a decrease in support on key issues such as extremism and threats to democracy. A previous Reuters poll showed her with a 7-point lead over Trump on these issues, but the most recent poll shows that lead has narrowed to just 2%.

This deadlock tie in Michigan comes after a similar poll in Wisconsin on Monday, where Trump led Harris by one point. Wisconsin, a Rust Belt state that flipped back to the Democrats in 2020, is crucial in the upcoming election.

As the nation approaches Election Day, millions of voters have already cast their ballots, with over 41 million votes recorded nationwide. Early voters in Wisconsin alone have cast over 850,000 ballots.

The race between Trump and Harris remains tight, with both candidates vying for crucial battleground states. Stay tuned for more updates as the election draws near.
