In a modern twist on a classic love story, Joelle Gamble and her now-husband, Mr. Copeland, found love in the midst of a pandemic and a forgotten first date. Both busy professionals in Washington D.C., they initially connected on a dating app in 2019, but their first date was scotched due to a missed text message.
Fast forward to 2021, when they reconnected on Bumble and decided to give it another shot. Little did they know, they had already crossed paths before. Despite recognizing each other’s names in their phones, they both played it cool and decided to start fresh with a FaceTime date.
